GEORGE M. YANIK, M.D./PHD
George Yanik, M.D./PhD is a graduate of the University of Illinois in Chicago, with two degrees, a Ph.D. in Pharmacology and an M.D.. He completed his Ophthalmology residency at Loyola University, in Maywood, IL. His clinical interests include: Neuro-pharmacology, Neuro-ophthalmology, and General Ophthalmology. He and his family relocated to Arizona from the Chicago area. His step son Karl, is a T.V. reporter and sports anchor for KWCH-TV in Kansas. His son Collin is a brown belt in Tae-Kwon-Do and attends school in Scottsdale.
His wife Liz, is a retired RN, who is active at Scottsdale Bible Church and is a lay-Christian counselor there. She is also active and a board member for the Matthew 25, homeless project. Dr. Yanik's interests are computers, science fiction, history and old movies.
