Since our practice has been in existence for such a long time - well over 55 years - and since we feel that we provide the finest ocular care, we do not feel it is necessary to advertise on radio and TV as do other ophthalmologists newer to Phoenix. We rely on our satisfied patients to be the only "advertisement" necessary to keep our practices strong and growing.
Our patients refer their friends and relatives, saving ourselves and our patients the substantial cost of media advertising

Cataracts are cloudy areas in the lens inside the eye - which is normally clear. Cataracts can develop in one or both eyes. If they develop in both eyes, one will be more severely affected than the other. A normally clear lens allows light to pass through to the back of the eye, so that the patient can see well-defined images. If a part of the lens becomes opaque light does not pass through easily and the patient's vision becomes blurry - like looking through cloudy water or a fogged-up window. The more opaque (cloudier) the lens becomes, the worse the person's vision will be.
There are two different specialty lenses that we use:
AcrySof® ReSTOR® lens, www.acrysofrestor.com
Crystal Lens HD, www.crystalens.com
Please feel free to visit the websites to learn more about these specialty lenses.
Refractive eye surgery is any eye surgery used to improve the refractive state of the eye and decrease or eliminate dependency on glasses or contact lenses. This can include various methods of surgical remodeling of the cornea or cataract surgery. The most common methods today use excimer lasers to reshape curvature of the cornea. Successful refractive eye surgery can reduce or cure common vision disorders such as myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism.
Diagnostic Testing is provided at our Osborn office and is recommended by the physician to aid in the diagnostics of a wide variety of eye problems. Typical treatments include:
Visual Field Testing
Visual field testing provides your doctor with a map of your peripheral and central visual field to locate areas that may be affected by disease or other problems.
Potential Acuity Meter PAM (PAM)
PAM testing provides a measurement for vision potential, especially in the case of cataracts.
Fundus Photos
Photos may be requested by your doctor to document unusual findings or to help identify a diagnosis of the optic nerve, macula, retina, and vasculature.
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)
Laser tomography to evaluate the retinal nerve fiber which is imperative in evaluating glaucoma and retinal problems.
