Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic Testing is provided at our Thomas office and is recommended by the physician to aid in the diagnostics of a wide variety of eye problems. Typical treatments include:

Visual Field Testing
Visual field testing provides your doctor with a map of your peripheral and central visual field to locate areas that may be affected by disease or other problems.

Fluorescein Angiography
Dye is injected into a vein to photograph its progression through the vessels in the eye. This testing helps the doctor identify problems or diseased areas in the retina, macula, and optic nerve.

PAM (Potential Acuity Meter)
PAM testing provides a measurement for vision potential, especially in the case of cataracts.

Fundus Photos
Photos may be requested by your doctor to document unusual findings or to help identify a diagnosis of the optic nerve, macula, retina, and vasculature.

Optical Coherence Tomography
Laser tomography to evaluate the retinal nerve fiber which is imperative in evaluating glaucoma and retinal problems.
